Top Six Goalkeepers Under £5.0m
July 15, 2022
Edouard Mendy: Most of the managers prefer to play with a £4.5m GK. But in this season goalkeepers are cheaper than as usual as the main GK of Chelsea Mendy at £5m can be a good shout as Chelsea were decent defensively last season and their opening fixture of this season looking very promising. So, he can be a very good option to start the season.
Aaron Ramsdale: Ramsdale managed to get 135pts with 12 CS & made 90 saves in last season. Arsenal have good fixture to start the season and the gunners will face two of the promoted teams in their opening seven games. So, Ramsdale can be an easy choice at £5.0m because we can easily expect some CS is coming for Arsenal.
Nick Pope: Nick Pope has joined Newcastle this year who scored 130pts with 120 saves. Under Eddie Howe Newcastle performed well defensively and kept 8 Cleansheets. In this season they are working to sign some good defensive players and that have increased the appeal of Pope.
Jose Sa: Let’s talk about another £5.0m priced GK Jose SA who finished the season with 146pts. In last season he regularly delivered 4/5/6pts even without having a CS. Wolves is a team that always play good football from the back & this time they have decent fixture to start. He can easily fill up GK spot as he is always busy to save goals.
Robert Sanchez: If we think about a decent goalkeeper at £4.5m Robert Sanchez is the GK that comes into the consideration who can offer good value in this price. This Spanish goalkeeper was impressive in last season with 126pts. Brighton have considerable fixture in first seven gameweeks. But it’s still a question that how Brighton will perform defensively after the departure of Yves Bissouma.
David Raya: Brentford’s fixture is pretty good to start proceedings this year and they were not that bad defensively last year. So the No.1 goalkeeper of Brentford David Raya can be a good choice at £4.5m. Raya saved 76% of shots he faced last season and only Alisson had better saving percentage.
