Some differential midfield prospects which might boost your mini league ranking

Till gameweek 3 this season is pretty well as most of the managers are getting a lot of points. In this season we have got a lot of options in midfield. I have noticed that most of us are considering some common popular options as a result we are forgetting some MIDs but these players can play very vital role to improve the rank in mini leagues. Here I will try to talk about some of them who looked promising to me after the end of gameweek 3.

Mason Mount has created the highest number of big chances & got 2 assists in three weeks. He is taking set-pieces like as usual & when a finisher like Lukaku plays in his team there is a big chance that his assist numbers will increase. But the problem about Mount is he will rarely provide a brace of 10+ points. He is a player to provide assist regularly but not a natural goal scorer. If anyone is okay to get 6/7 points from a player consistently then Mount can be the man to go for.

A lot of managers already own Jack Grealish & I think he is a City asset that is very hard to ignore as he seems likely to start most of the game. It’s very hard to judge the game of Pep Guardiola but I think Jesus or Mahrez will play on right, Ferran Torres & Sterling will play centrally and seems like Grealish is the only option Pep have right now to play on the left side. Grealish has created the highest number of chances (9, level with Grob & Mahrez) with a big chance that’s very similar with him. But surprisingly he has the 3rd highest touches inside the box just after Salah & Traore. When the ball is about to travel in the box from the other side Grealish has been there to tap in.

Pablo Fornals has already got 3 goal contributions in first three GWs. West Ham is attacking from everywhere and scoring a lot of goals. The £6.0m priced spanish midfielder has created 8 chances with 2 big chances & 6 goal attempts that’s more than the numbers of Benrahma. Fixture of West Ham is looking decent until GW11 so if anyone is thinking to play differential then Fornals can a very good shout.

£5.6m priced Demarai Gray played on left side in all 3 games under the new management of Rafa Benitez. It seems like he has got free role in wide side & trying to make the best use of any opportunity in the last of the central defensive line of opponents. I will consider him lucky as he has got two goals from his two shots on target. But, it’s very clear that his finishing is improving day by day. Everton will play vs Burnley (H), Aston Villa (A) & Norwich (H) which are looking very tempting to me & he can an absolute bargain to target these three fixtures.

Wolves is the unluckiest team so far in this season as their attacking numbers are very high but they are yet to score a goal. Francisco Trincao has 8 goal attempts with 6 shots inside the box. His xG numbers are pretty good to impress any manager & so does his fixture from GW4. Wolves have very good fixture to target coming from GW4 & attacking return from Trincao seems like just a matter of time to me.

Pascal Grob has created the highest number of 9 chances (level with Grealish & Mahrez). He has created 29 crosses & 10 of them was accurate. His share of set-piece duties is a major factor as well. Brighton have some very good headers that increases the potential of his attacking return a lot. So, he can be a real differential at £6.0m.

Feel free to share your thoughts about this.

Happy Fantasy 😄
