Review – Gameweek 5
September 24, 2021
I want to start with Raphinha today as his numbers are pretty well but his points are not that much. I think it’s happening because of his poor finishing. He has missed 2 big chances out of 2. He is scoring outside of the box but when it’s inside the box he is not looking in good touch. But the fact is his ownership is not that high in top 10K so point from him can boost the overall rank for sure. Another thing about Leeds is if Aylling misses any game for injury, Phillips & Dallas will play in backline. Then some new faces will come to the MID & that’s can decrease the number of ball supplies in forward line.
Adama Traore was playing very well like as usual but when it’s about crossing the ball in right area, he becomes so bad. Traore played very wide so his goal threat has reduced. Jimenez is has failed to find himself yet again. Brentford looked very good defensively. They conceded only six shots inside the box vs Wolves. But still their upcoming fixture is not that good so it’s better not to pick anyone from their backline. Ivan Toney has provided points in GW5 but a lot of managers are thinking to sell him. But the fact is there is very few options in that budget. Saint-Maximin is looking good but I won’t recommend ASM when Wilson is out & Adam Armstrong can be a good shout from GW8. So, I think if anyone own Toney, he should be kept for next two GWs.
Arsenal are looking again better defensively. They have kept two CSs & didn’t conceded any big chance in their last two games. Arsenal have good fixture to get some CS upto GW13 so, I think it will be a good investment if anyone buy someone from Arsenal defenders.
I don’t think there was much to talk about the game between Man City vs Southampton. The game strategy of City will be changed totally after the inclusion of De Bruyne. In the UCL game De Bruyne started in the right MID position & was making good crosses from the wide area & Grealish was the man who was moving in the box to receive those crosses. So, I think if anyone own Grealish don’t even think of selling him.
There is nothing much to talk about the game of Chelsea & Spurs. Spurs are struggling and Chelsea are looking very well balanced & defensively solid. Buying defenders from Chelsea will be very good investment. Rudiger is looking the most nailed on player but the potential of his attacking return is very low, Reece James & Alonso have better attacking potential but both of them has chance of rotation. Christiansen can be a good option as well for them who have budget shortage at the same time Rudiger worths the extra money.
Manchester United created 48 crosses in first three GWs & from GW4 after the inclusion of Ronaldo in the team, Man UTD have created 56 crosses & 27 of them came from Luke Shaw. Shaw owner are passing bad times but I will say to wait two more weeks as United will play vs Aston Villa & Everton in next two fixtures & both of these two teams are struggling defensively. Greenwood played very wide again & had only one shot inside the box in last two GWs. I think his minutes will decrease as Lingard is in good form and Sancho is playing as well whenever he is getting chance.
Watford didn’t create any big chances in previous 3 games but in last week vs Norwich City they created six big chances. So, I will say Norwich City should be the definite target to consider as an opponent. The game of Watford changed a lot after the inclusion of Kiko Feminia. Kiko Feminia is a very attacking minded full back who loves to go forward all the time. Sarr & Feminia has a good partnership record that helps Sarr to make some good runs & to receive the delivery from Feminia but the worry about he is very injury prone.
Crystal Palace didn’t have a good gave vs LFC but I will say Conor Gallagher was in the centre when any the cross is about to come from the wide area. He is taking all the set pieces without penalty. So, he can be a player to consider when the red fixtures will be gone.
Everton didn’t offer much things in the absence of DCL vs Aston Villa. Everton will play vs Norwich City next week so I won’t mind if anyone gets Gray or Townsend as a one-week punt because in last week this two MIDs were sharing set pieces over Digne. The newly signed Bailey has been very impressive. He will be a definite option to consider after getting his full fitness back. Personally, I think the front trio of Watkins, Ings & Bailey have very good chance to shine. Aston Villa will have some green fixtures to come after next two GWs that’s something not to forget.
